[Noisebridge-discuss] openmoko JTAG programmer / unborking a G1

lilia and I were trying hard to unbrick a G1 last night, and got through 
all the hard stuff, like making a serial cable, and soldering seven tiny 
wires to test points on the inner side of the circuitboard...

but the fucking jtag programmer doesn't seem to work.. as in, openOCD 
refuses to recognize it.  Talking about the openmoko programmer on the 
hacktools shelf (there are actually two openmoko programmers in there)

Does anyone know why this is?  We tried it on three different computers, 
compiled from source, etc..  the device comes up as an FTDI thing and is 
recognized and drivers are loaded but it still doesn't work.

Or alternately, does anyone have a JTAG programmer we can use?
