In celebration of the Tahoe-LAFS software being included in Debian
unstable [1] and the First Tahoe-LAFS International Summit [2] held this
week at Noisebridge, we are setting up a Tahoe-LAFS grid at Noisebridge!

Ben Kochie donated a PC tower case with several large HDDs; it's
currently sitting outside the closet with a sign noting that it's for
the Noisebridge Tahoe grid.

I've set up an introducer at tahoe.noisebridge.net, running in a VM on
my home network. (The setup isn't quite complete yet, I'll finish it
Wednesday morning.)

If anyone wants to install Debian (or Ubuntu) on the machine Ben
donated, and set it up on the Noisebridge network with Tahoe-LAFS
installed, I'd really appreciate it -- my time is pretty limited right
now.

Others are welcome to join the network with your own storage nodes!
The quick-start [3] is helpful, and the FAQ [4] helps answer some
questions I had when I first learned about Tahoe-LAFS. You'll need the
introducer FURL, so let me know if you'd like that.

Once we have a few Noisebridge nodes up and running, I'll post to
other hackerspaces and hopefully we can get a multi-hackerspace grid up
and running.
