Like most people on this list, I have the ameriphone dialogue RC. I have
used the pillow switch and remote control and the blow switch when I am in
my wheelchair, but when I'm not in my chair, the problem is that my limbs do
not allow me to use any of the switches that CTAP has to offer. My ideal
situation when I'm in bed is to get a motion detector that operates off of
time and motion. Example: I move steadily for ten seconds by shaking my head
and it turns on the phone and calls the operator. I've tried things like
pinning the remote control/pillow switch/blowswitch to a t-shirt, but it
always moves out of my way, making me unable to hit it. this is a very
urgent issue because my roommate moved out, and when I'm in bed, or if
someone gets injured who works for me, it leaves me helpless with no way to
access the phone. when CTAP came out, they liked my idea, but said that they
had no resources, but would be interested in it if I ever came up with
anything. This is a really urgent issue, despite my attendant care, and I
don't have any roommates. If anyone has any ideas, please contact me
immediately by phone or by email.

Thanks so much,
Nick
