[Noisebridge-discuss] Hologlyphic-Movie/Noisbridge grant funding re-application

Hi,

The area it will take up won't be very large, one is based on flat a mirror screen and another on is a flat LCD. I'd have the same amount of 'excellence' as any other member should have regarding hogging space, and working around other activities. Nothing that would dominate anything else. Some computers and small 'control panels' too.

The last 4 months will also cover use of a separate dedicated space open to anyone involved, for finalization of the art project.

 Also it's only semi-imaginary. ;)

This project, in almost the same form, had been approved at NB a few years back. The same letter, without updates was accepted last time,
but there was no grant given.

The grant is up again, and feedback, support was positive, much cool 3D stuff has happened since then, so this is a second try.

Only change is better displays and open source development in Blender.

Thanks,
Walter

If you have a fiscal sponsor then i guess what you are looking for is
just permission to write 'walter funk and noisebridge(tm)' all over your
application?  Hm, as well as claiming what sounds like it might be a
sizeable chunk of common area down the road.  I will admit that the
language of your letter implies a level of support that is kind of
imaginary.  Institutions are inherently kind of imaginary, though, and
use of the institutional name to further your project in this way is
reasonable.

If it was me writing a letter of intent, it would probably include
language about the actual project more prominently, and lead less with
the organization that doesn't even know it's sponsoring yet.

Can you talk more to us about the amount of space you envision needing
for this project??

R.
