I like the spirit, but I'm not terribly sure that having it physically
present at NB is the best way to go.

1. the internets connection at 2169 is kinda crap.  Getting a better
connection there is pretty hard / expensive.  At a datacenter, a good
connection is the default.

2. the physical space isn't very kind to servers with fans.  Open up
pony some day and look inside; then compare a server that's been running
in a datacenter for years.  A server room is really healthy for servers.

3. rubin is likely to poop on any server at 2169.  I mean, look at this
guy.  Do you really want him having access to your hardware?

How about instead having someone set up a VM on a cloud service?
Running small things on EC2 is pretty cheap (although you do need a
credit card).

I'm not very likely to get a chance to use it if it's got a RFC1918
address.  When I'm at 2169 I'm not socialnetworkingonline. :)


However!  definitely don't let me saying "I don't think X is a good
idea" stop you from doing X or whatever other awesome thing you want to
do!  I can come up with reasons not to do nearly every awesome thing
ever.  :)
