Yeah, and if you can get a gerbil to glow in the dark?  That's awesome.

You're not talking about tweaking the mind though.  It'd be one thing
if you were looking at how adderall decreased the need for sleep or
made you more intelligent and better able to respond to tests.  But
there's no science involved here.  The meetup group isn't looking to
see if LSD results in statistically significant "breakthroughs" in
solving problems, or how to enhance that effect.

There's no biotech augmentation involved in studying the rituals of a
tribe using psychedelics.  It's not going to bring about the rapture /
singularity.  You might end up talking about how water has memory for
5 hours, but the experience itself isn't something you can transfer to
others.

What is psychedelics good for?  What is the discussion of psychedelics good for?
