Come Out and Play has released its open call for games for this fall's
festival, slated for November 16 - December 8, 2012. They've updated
the home page with "the basic details of the festival, in addition to a
giant blinking submissions link and some robots":

Come Out and Play is a city-wide, annual festival of street games that
"turns San Francisco into a giant playground." For example, Journey to
the End of the Night last fall was affiliated with this.

Anyway, they need games for this fall's festival (the third, I believe),
and they're accepting submissions now. From the website:

Game Criteria
• Your game can have technology or be totally lo-fi. We don’t care as long as it’s fun.
• Your game should have a goal and be winnable. It has to be a game.
• We want players to have fun. So make sure your game sounds fun to play.
• We want players to play in public. So make interesting use of the street and public space.
• We want players to interact in new ways. Be fresh.
• We want players to view the city in a new way after playing.
• Your game must be playable in San Francisco during the festival.
• Did we mention fun? GAMES SHOULD BE FUN!

Game Spots
We're looking for lots of different kinds of games for this year's
festival, but there are a few types of games that we know we'll need.

• All kinds of street games for the traditional festival weekend, December 1-2.
• Board games to be exhibited (and played!) in the SOMArts gallery November 16-December 8.
• Games that respond specifically to the South of Market (SOMA) neighborhood, especially its LGBT, Filipino, and industrial communities. We welcome ideas for partnerships with local organizations and businesses!

Submit your entry by July 31, 2012!
