[Noisebridge-discuss] portable power/battery question

Take a look at how we calculated a battery budget on SWARM
http://wiki.orbswarm.com/index.php?title=Power

Short form:
Calculated a power budget. Strung together some used sealed lead acid
batteries (look in the Suppliers
page<http://wiki.orbswarm.com/index.php?title=Suppliers>for some cheap
ones), charge them with a car charger. Profit!

You'll get 20% longer run-times if you use all DC components instead of
using an inverter. But it's sooo much easier to use an inverter, do that
first!

If you've got too much money, use lithium batteries instead and the rig
will be lighter. Sorry, I can't help with pricing out that system.

Tell me how it goes!
