[Noisebridge-discuss] Cynthia and Miloh made agreement she would not be there tonight

I'm also a native Texan, but unlike Agent^H^H^H^H^H Mr. Joyce, I worked for governments involved in corporate work, rather than the other way around.
However, the work was in Illinois, and the government was Federal, and the corporation was in Delaware, but operated in Texas, Illinois, Canada, and Germany.

Does that also count as "conflicting" interest to matters of hackerspacery?

Just wondering, since apparently actual facts and self-espoused opinions aren't important to the topics at hand, and community-determined externally-applied labels and opinions seem to count much more. So before I get into a mess of thinking for myself about ethical issues surrounding the social burden of mental illness or the social dynamics of us-vs-them group-think, I'd like to know what I /actually/ think, based on my work history and community-judged status.

Thanks in advance for helping me figure out where I stand, so I can cleanse my bias and maybe even hold a real opinion someday!

- Brink

P.S. I've also been previously under the impression that hackerspaces are primarily for hacking and secondarily for hacker-lulz, but maybe that's just my conflicted corporate government hacker-biased opinion talking. Please, someone who knows more about this than I do, help me figure out what a hackerspace is for!
