[Noisebridge-discuss] return of 5mof! -- request for speakers, and/or volunteers

So, as promised, I quit being secretary to spend more time on my
noisebridge projects.

First up is to reboot 5mof -- I've spoken to Daravinne and Felix, and
they'd like to stay involved, but said it'd be *way* easier with a bigger
team, and that the hardest part is getting speakers and marketing.

The next 5mof is due on November 15. I've got a few speakers already. If
you'd like to speak, mail me for now, and I'll put you on the list. Just
talk for five minutes on whatever! To get a bit of balance between
technology, rants and generic interestingness, I might ask you to talk
another time, but you will definitely go on the list.

If you are nervous about speaking in front of an audience, I will happily
help you with your talk! It's a nice introduction to public speaking if
you've not done it before -- five minutes is not very long, and the 5mof
audience is lovely.

ALSO!

Please mail if you want to volunteer to help on the day! It's nothing hard
-- someone needs to sit at the entry desk, help with chairs putting out and
away, running the slides, and being Person In Charge of Helpfulness. If
you're around on Thursday evening 7pm-10pm, let me know!

Finally, and buried at the bottom of this email -- I'm going to ask a
"suggested donation" to Noisebridge of $5-$10 for the evening at the door.
No-one will be turned away for not having it, but it's a good opportunity,
and we have a lot of expenses coming up (insurance, the rent has gone up,
etc). Just letting people know!
