No previous knowledge of bands playing live in the space but I think it
sounds like a magnif idea that could draw in the masses. One night only for
both bands & art auction (if the auction happens—Kim & Dan's idea), no
danger of space devolving into bandstand/art gallery. Looks like we have
enough people for a music wing of the planning group now. What remains is
more interest/discussion from the communit at . We @ *ZiP* (whose 3rd
chapter<http://zine.noisebridge.net/zip/ch3> was
recently released online) can commit to having print copies of all 3
chapters of ZiP + additional goodies to sling @ the event. Let's have other
zines, Tshirts, stickers, souvenirs as well. We will staff the merch/swag
table. I posted a lengthier response to the wiki benefit planning
page<https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Art>.
We need to set a date asap for those doing promo/PR. Let's make this happen
if we want it. The inspiration came strong during Aaron Swartz's
memorial/hackathon, which seems a good augury.
