Jake,

Actually, Noisebridge is _not_ designed to allow anyone to come into
the space without vetting or supervision.   It is the current culture
that is causing this issue.

Noisebridge, in theory, has people with keys and access codes to the
door.  If you have no code, or no key, it is the responsibility of
someone already in the space to let you in.

This is an assumption in my study, and all three spaces studied use
that as their basic rule.  Anyone can come in, with the permission of
someone else with a key / access card / codem and in theory let anyone
else in.    It's the culture of each space that determines what
happens after that.
