Two disconnected points:

The keypad to use the buzzer is great, IMO, but the use of the space for
classes and other open activities and the bounds of sanity would require
1. class codes
OR
2. times the gate is unlocked
OR
3. the gate being propped open
Of course, people will default to 3.
