[Noisebridge-discuss] Noisebridge-discuss Digest, Vol 63, Issue 17

Consider the possibility of a three-person group:
as a matter of convention, people agree that of the
people who are already in the space, three should be
willing to take on the role of monitor. When a monitor
is sick of doing so, the monitor asks someone else to
take over.
In my view, this is best done informally, without
the sturm and drang of a meeting discussion, but as
an experiment, doocratically taken on, to see if the
idea has merit.
    Issues for monitors might include:
* keep an eye on toilet rooms for supplies and for
people shooting up or otherwise dangerous activities.
* keep an eye on places that have equipment that can
  be stolen.
* keep an eye on misuse of equipment.
* keep an eye on disruptive behavior, maybe on symptoms
  of sickness or other trouble.

   ...just sayin'...

I also suggest an email address on the wiki to enable lone makers (who are not part of any pre-vetted institution or publication readership) to request a password, which would generally always be granted to anyone who seems sincere.
