[Noisebridge-discuss] Kitchen Overhaul

Yes, we are careful with do-ocracy and consensus. The consensus record on
this matter is foggy. Let me help clear it up lest we be accused of
unjustly skipping consensus.
A while ago, many people were talking about closing the space for a few
weeks for a deep cleaning and reorganization. Danny spoke of getting
consensus for it. Some people were concerned at first, and others were
excited. The big concern of many people was the space closing. Ever. Even
for a little bit. This idea continued to circulate for a while. I invoked
the c-word when a mailing list thread threatened to limit rebuilding access
to members. (possibly in jest?)

The whole affair was labeled rebase and was discussed at length during many
meetings. Many people talked about proposing a consensus item for rebase. I
don't see anything in the current consensus items or history about rebase.
A separate meeting was requested so that the discussions would not dominate
the regular meetings. No one seemed to be pushing for a consensus item. I
think that people realized the difficulty of getting consensus on closing.
Not closing seems to have appeased any concerns about rebase.

I am pretty sure that rebase activity is in the realm of do-ocracy.
