Hi Noisebridge,

The 8th quarterly Workshop Weekend is taking place in downtown Oakland this
weekend, and we're looking for volunteers to help check people in, give
directions, help connect laptops, and handle random issues as they come up.
(Most of the time will be relatively relaxed, and feel free to bring a book
or something to work on when nothing's going on.)

Volunteers are asked to help out for a 4-hour timeblock on Saturday or
Sunday. We'll treat you to dinner on Friday night and your admission is on
us (normally $40) if you want to take any of the workshops offered during
the weekend.

Workshop Weekend itself is a celebration of hands-on learning, with 1-3
hour long DIY, science, and engineering workshops all weekend long. We'll
have workshops on soldering, crowdfunding, genetic
engineering, programming, electronics/arduino, cheese & ice cream making,
coffee-roasting, taste hacking, and many more topics.

More info and full list of workshops at

If you're interested in volunteering, email me off-list or send a note to
volunteer at workshopweekend.net

Best wishes,
J.D.
