The only truly funky thing I had to do was configure PulseAudio to work 
in system mode, since by default it expects to operate in the context of 
a user session. I also bashed it together with Shairport as per this 
blog post - http://www.foell.org/justin/raspberry-pulse/

I'm not 100% certain that the Airplay stuff works. I tested it with my 
iPhone and it was okay, but who knows. If someone is cleverer with this 
Pulse business, by all means, fix it.
