[Noisebridge-discuss] Bioboard distribute monitoring for farmers

Good morning,
I'm a master student at Design Academy Eindhoven, I'm making a project 
on rural development and ownership of resources.
I started with a case study of seeds reproduction and now I'm focusing 
on devices of analysis of soils, water, and food quality.
My question is how to make analysis of soils and monitoring water more 
accessible for farmers, and quality of food (minerals, vitamines,...) 
and trackability part of consumer activities.
I want to create a kit for a distribute system for monitoring and having 
tools for understanding ecosystem and farming in a more precise way.
I saw your Bioboard...and i know SmartCitizen and Safecast.
Do you have experience with these kind of analysis?
do you know which tools could be intresting to develop in an Open source 
for this?
A biologist told me about NMR spectroscopy but is very hi-tech....
