You might want to call an insurance agent and check how much that would
cost. Since general liability insurance up to 1 or 2M for Noisebridge for
an entire year is, well I don't remember the exact number but in the $1000
range, It may not be a very high cost to cover an event that lasts a day.

It's also worth it to call a couple of different agents though it takes a
few days to get a quote; the way you describe your booth's activities will
also affect the cost.

You could also find an organization that already has insurance, call their
agent, and extend the coverage to the event.

Anyway, don't give up because of insurance requirements, it isn't so hard!
