Yes, it does go both ways, but that doesn't mean you could still insult
someone.  Just because you may not have felt insulted, that doesn't mean
it's okay for the other person.  Especially if the other person tells you
they felt insulted.  So if Rachel felt insulted, then it doesn't hurt to
apologize either.  What is there to lose if you apologize?  Saying "sorry"
costs you nothing.  It's at most 5 bytes extra being sent over the wire.
