hey folks,

The Software Freedom Conservancy has found itself in need of donations
due to lame sponsorship dropouts after they supported the GPL
enforcement lawsuit against VMWare[0] and need all the help they can get
to continue their program work and GPL enforcement. The Conservancy
hosts important projects like Git, Boost, and Mercurial to name a few,
as well as working on GPL compliance and enforcement.

The Conservancy is running a donations program through the end of the
year, and currently they have a donation matching offer for donations
made before December 24th.

I *highly* encourage you all to donate if you can. The Conservancy's
work is crucial to the continued existence of Free Software. They're a
frugal and highly effective charity, and every dollar you donate will be
well utilized.

Everyone in the community of Noisebridge benefits from Free Software.
It's a core belief of the community, that users should have the right to
run, study, share, and modify the software we use.

You can find the donation page here: https://sfconservancy.org/donate

Happy holidays!
