If there is "evidence that he did in fact steal stuff" it is not right here.
Jake said he pled his innocence but Sudoroom banned him anyway.

But even if he did actually steal, does that really mean Noisebridge needed to
punish him for life by publishing his full legal name? We will now, since the
web archive of this mailing list doesn't get censored without legal orders (nor
do old revisions of wiki pages, but they are not indexed by search engines).

Since "Kevin Mitnick" has decided to punish Rus by putting his full name here,
I now feel inclined to add this to the record:

I spoke with Rus several times at Noisebridge ~2 years ago and I found him to
be a friendly and intelligent person, so I am surprised and saddened to learn
that he is no longer welcome at Noisebridge and Sudoroom. I hope he did not
steal, and if he did I hope he tried or will try to make amends. And if a
potential employer reads this thread, I hope they'll give him the benefit of
the doubt and ask him about these negative search results instead of just
skipping over him because of it.

It is funny to see a suggestion that Jake is okay with thievery in
hackerspaces, as he is the only person I know who has actually gone so far as
to put hidden cameras in Noisebridge (and then published video of thieves in
action; I think the links are still on the 86 page).

I am sorry to hear that your phone was stolen :(
