Big thanks to everybody who reached out. I made the trip to Cool Neon in
Oakland. Turned out to be a bad sound driver. Under $20 with BART fare, new
part, and I'm ready to start sewing on the new EL strand! I was trying to
avoid that trip, but it definitely worked in my favor.   ☺
