JOB SUMMARY:

The Bar Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the running of
The Armory Club, including hiring and managing staff, vendor
relationships, and the ensuring all aspects of the customer experience
meet expectations.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


●     Recruit, train and manage all bar staff
●     Establish and enforce all written bar policies (including opening
and shutdown procedures, dress code, work/shift hours, health/safety
procedures, security, cleaning, POS register, inventory management, etc.)
●     Establish daily reporting system with bartenders for managing
cash, tips and bottle inventory.
●     Ensure and actively monitor honesty and ethics of staff.
●     Responsible for maintaining the overall customer experience,
including ambiance (lighting, music, etc), cleanliness and friendliness
of staff.
●     Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and codes (health,
fire, etc.)
●     Establish and manage vendor relationships
●     Establish and maintain the budget.
●     Assist with defining and refining the brand and customer
experience. Includes helping with designs of napkins, menus, etc.
●     Manage the menu and drinks selection, including creating
“specialty” themed drinks.
●     Work on special promotions such as Happy Hour, free drink tickets
and themed events.
●     Maintain relationship with the Police Department, neighbors, local
bar owners, and the ABC.
●     Work with the city on our future application for a place of
entertainment permit.


Education and Experience:

*     Minimum 5 years experience in a high end bar/restaurant establishment
*     Minimum 2 years experience in a high end bar/restaurant
establishment as a manager
*     High school diploma or equivalency
*     Experience in creating and implementing marketing plans
*     Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
*     Effective time management and organization skills
*     Basic computer skills
