I struggled with the name, too.  I wanted to avoid the image of "hard iron
computing" that "embedded linux" instils.  I mean, Android is a friendly
name, but I don't want to corner the market on that name since the segment
of embedded development I am after is getting OS's on interesting hardware,
while the name Android might be better for a group focusing on application
development.

So how do I attract suspender wearing Linux nerds and fixie riding Android
hipsters, while not scaring away artist hippies that need something a little
stronger than arduino?

That's how I got to Tiny-Tux.

I think all three groups are smart enough to find us if we keep visible and
active.
