Subject: Re: [Tastebridge] [Noisebridge-discuss] Kitchen overhaul this
Thursday - Saturday
The current kitchen island is contaminated with mice and roaches (dead and
alive) and their waste. It cannot be cleaned. Have you smelled it lately?
This teardown should happen. I don't agree with the "stove on stilts and
wheels" idea. It looks dangerous and not as useful. I also don't agree with
the 0 counter space idea. Has anyone ever tried to cook with no counters?
Nonetheless, the current counters need to be taken out. Fighting about the
future kitchen is just obstructing someone who wants to donate labor toward
making the kitchen better!

Nothing is stopping you or I from building a better kitchen when this is
done.

We can do-ocraticly build the kitchen back up. I think stainless steel
would be much better at being cleaned than particle board that soaks up
filth and retains it forever.

It's not the end food related activities in the place. It's the beginning
of a better kitchen. It's a hacker space. It's not gonna kill us to build
something in there!
