let us know more specifically, please:
what grit will you start with? will you use a
smaller grit before beginning to fill? what
will you use for filling? will you put a
"primer" coat on after filling? will you
follow up with a third, even smaller grit.
will you put on any final coats?
proposal is drum sander: 36 grit, 50 grit,
edgers: 36, 50 grit,
broad knives: unknown filler,
rollers and brushes: shellac,
orbital sanders: 80 grit,
edgers: 80 grit,
rollers adn brushes: unknown top coat.
scott has suggested starting the process
by setting nails then use drum sanders and
36 grit without cleaning the cracks: the
drum sanding with 36 grit will grind down
pretty much anything that's in the cracks
and also loosen everything in the cracks
for easier subsequent clean out. so have a
team of crack cleaners with scrapers and
putty knives follow the first pass of drum
sanders, then vacuum and magnet then drum
sand with 50 grit....
