spent some time with spreads at the meeting this evening. some relevent
bugs/feature ideas & todos about using the spreads  web interfaces.  
 

status of 'darkivist.local', a beagleboneblack (bbb) box
---------------------------------------
if connected via eth or wifi, the bbb using is available on the
network as 'darkivist.local' it runs the cameras and photos the scans.
test it out.  see info below
 
 
spreads bugs
------------
using the spreads web interface on the armhf based beagleboneblack (running
debian jessie). Spreads starts up fine and runs the a2500 cams with the tenrec
recommmended chdk on sd cards, but there are a few issues with the web
interface
 
  - no internal documentation for use
  - no undo in workflow setup
  - during capture, settings (gear) content is off the page in iceweasel for debian 
 
 
feature list brainstorm (list of features in no particular order)

  - instant ocr of page nubmer
  - plugin architecture
  - physical interface features:
    1. trigger switch 
    2. control dial.  
    3. small display or visual feedback device
    4. audio feedback (shutters, status)
  - sneakernet usb port available for thumb drives
 
 
todos
-----
  - run on startup, cobble init script together cribbing from good octoprint init script. 
    or spreadspi
  - compile scantailor and reconfigure spreads on darkivist to enable it
  - more documentation and notes on use.
  - focus and align the a2500 cameras
  - need another dedicated hub and power supply
  - thanne longen folk to goon boookscannning
