hi folks,

no offense, but mark & ryan, you are both losing respect from me, and  
i haven't even met you yet.

this probably isn't the forum to seek your resolution in. i'm aware of  
a conflict but you are spamming this list by continuing it. please  
stop. if this is indicative of the level of politics that will be  
present in this group then i and likely others will leave now. so i  
would like to offer some suggestions:

1. take you conflict off-list. you can email each other directly, or  
perhaps seek a third member to offer mediation. the group does not  
need to be forced into being your collective mediator nor your  
unwilling audience. please try to refrain from the need to "defend"  
yourselves in public from "attacks" from others; plaintext does not  
have the bandwidth for us to tell who, if anyone, is acting honestly,  
and it just reflects poorly on the both of you.

2. if you can't resist keeping your conflict off the list, please send  
all personal attacks to each other under the subject line i have  
helpfully added to this message: "drama." then those people that are  
not interested can script those messages to the trash. [NOTE: this is  
humor. :-)  mostly ;-) feel free to laugh, it's healthy]

3. failing that i would like to ask that disruptive users be removed  
from this list. "disruptive" would include people that cannot refrain  
from, for instance, making personal attacks on other members or  
spamming the list with off-topic posts. i am assuming we have a  
moderator somewhere?
