Now this is a bit out-of-the-way, but the UC Davis Bargain Barn
(http://bargainbarn.ucdavis.edu/) has *all kinds* of useful surplus
stuff for sale. Two things are particularly nice about the UCDBB:

1.) Their entire catalog of stuff is searchable online
2.) After a certain amount of time passes, you can just 'make an
offer' on something. In my experience, any remotely reasonable offer
is usually accepted.

I'm in silicon valley for the summer, but will be going to campus at
least once a week come september. Also, I have occasional access to a
kid-toting minivan with removable seats. Combine these two facts, and
any must have bargain barn stuff can find its way to Noisebridge.
