[Noisebridge-discuss] Seeking Digibeta video transfer

Hi Noisebridge,

I made a short animated film, "Pirate Scum", which is only available from me personally on DVD while it's going to festivals.  It just got accepted to Palm Springs gay/lesbian film fest.  They want a Digibeta transfer.  I called a few places and the closest/best option from a business would cost $300 just for 6 min. of video.  I'll check with BAYVC or AAU (where I work) to see if I can wrangle some solution as a nonprofit thing.  Anyone have any suggestions for how I might be able to get a transfer without high cost?  Source is HD quicktime movie, and I have it on DVD and blu-ray which is letting me get it out to every other festival without costs like this.  It's annoying, but it was pretty special to get accepted so I'm trying to find a good way to make this happen.  If you have any ideas, thanks.  - Pat
