In NY I sprinkled boric acid along the main bug transit routes (they
pick it up, take it back to the nest, kills the nest) and used
pheromone traps. Six weeks later, no bugs, stayed that way for a year
until I moved.

This technique was suggested by a department at the University of
Kentucky, I think, that studies pest control.
