Um, you know, I feel like all of those terms are meaningless. I agree
that the google cal is "unofficial" and that the wiki is somehow more
"authoritative", but even that is relative to the general level of
authority that anything has at noisebridge. The only real form of
authority we have is consensus, and I don't know that we've ever
officially consensed on this. Is there a list of past consenses
somewhere on the wiki?

Anyway, you can edit the google cal, so do whatever you want. If
anyone else wants to edit it, anyone who's currently able to edit it
can invite anyone else. That includes myself and several others
participating in this discussion.

In any case, I definitely think we need a single set of events.
Currently we have... 2-6, I would say. Events are posted in one but
not necessarily all of the following venues: The list of recurring
events on the wiki, the list of one-time events on the wiki, the
google cal, the discuss list, and the announce list. And sometimes
they're not posted at all. Sometimes unposted events are private,
sometimes they're intended to be public, and just aren't publicized.

I think it would be nice to have a single insertion point for events
that then populates whatever access methods we need and automates all
of the above venues, and then say that whoever bothers to do that
single scheduling task has priority claim to space when the time
comes.
