Camera kits for stereo microscopes are worth the added expense, it
makes it really easy to use as a demonstration and archiving tool (if
they have fast enough frame rates).

(specs for this suck, I know)

I will cover the added expense if that's what it takes to get this
feature when making the plunge to buy a scope.



Also, for the time being:
There are <$10 sets of loupes from Harbor Freight on the mid-level
shelves in the circuits area of noisebridge.  Feel free to modify
these with 12 gauge copper or rubber bands to make a head mountable
eyepiece.
