[Noisebridge-discuss] repairing a fan on a Lenovo tablet and/or anyone have a spare laptop?

Hi,

I haven't been by Noisebridge in a while but figured I'd ask the following
(related) questions:

1) does anyone have experience replacing a fan in a Lenovo x60 or similar
tablet laptop? My fan has died, I have a replacement but attempting to
replace it myself has only made things worse - apparently to replace it
requires a nearly complete disassembly of the laptop

2) alternatively does anyone have an x60 or similar laptop I could buy
(cheaply ideally)? Ideally something I could just put my old hd into
directly. (if that doesn't work anyone have suggestions for how to get at &
copy all of my old data & applications?)
