[Noisebridge-discuss] Midnight Shop Class: Update

I am going to be driving back to the bay from Thanksgiving with relatives
Friday night, so I do not yet know if I'll be there for Midnight Shop Class.

Last week, a bunch of us discussed what we were doing, and it looks like
we're making this:

http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-a-Three-Axis-CNC-Machine-Cheaply-and-/

In looking through the instructions, the instructions for cutting all the
frame-pieces of MDF are essentially "print out this 48"x48" pdf on
huge-format paper, then stick it into a 48"x48" piece of MDF with glue, then
cut out paper + MDF. We spent some time trying to figure out how to use the
plotter before realizing that it was only 36" format anyhow.

I have since found a website with actual dimensional drawings of the parts
for this CNC --

http://www.makecnc.com/index.php

The zip file full of drawings is oddly located as an item that you "buy"
from their shopping cart for $0, but you still have to go through checkout.
I have the zip file, so we can start cutting the several pieces of MDF I
picked up from Home Depot.

Also, there are now blades in the bandsaw, so cutting can actually happen,
yay!
