I'm pretty [shrug] about the [drama], but I think the right thing for
now is to subscribe to noisebridge-announce. It's underused (and of
course not two-way), but you'll get most of what you want there.

The problem with drama is that it's hard to discern how much of it is
real, and how much of it is grandstanding and a glorious, spiralling
chaos of overexaggeration and provocation. And as people have pointed
out, when you share it with Mr Mailman, it hangs around for ever
online and can contribute to people's expectations of the place as
constantly be rifled with machine-gun fire, small shanty towns
composed of permanently narcoleptic vagabond ne'er-do-wells, and
vigilante mobs of consensus lawyers armed with MBAs and "The
Anarchists' Cookbook, Vols IV-XI (Consensus, Arbitration and the
American Legal System).

For those following at home, I'm at Noisebridge now, and it's tootling
along just fine. AND I'M NOT JUST SAYING THAT. Patrick just offered
everyone Ramen noodles, Isky just started on the washing up, and I'm
doing some real work done while considering if I can get the doorbell
to play "This Is Gallifrey (Our Childhood, Our Home)" whenever I enter
the space.

Circuit night looks to be pretty good tonight -- there were 30 or so
people last week, which is pretty much the critical mass for NB
feeling like it's jumping, rather than just noodling along.
