Dear Kelley,
It seems that you're looking for the 1%, and they tend not to be at these
protests. I have observed that the media in general seem more interested
in telling their side of the story (which America has been hearing all
along) while leaving the 99% movement a mystery for their audience.
Have you done any stories on the 99% yet? Or are you just hoping to start
at the top?
I volunteer to be interviewed. I consider myself very conservative - I
think we should conserve the planet earth, we should conserve electricity
and oil and the parts of nature which haven't already been 'civilized'.
I think we should conserve culture, and autonomy of established
civilizations around the world (i.e. i am against war).
You can contact me directly if you wish.
Sincerely,
-jake

Hello-
I live in Sausalito and don't have a line of sight but am writing to see
about doing a profile for newsmotion.org on 2-3 people involved with the
OWS movement, preferably people who are involved for the first time and
perhaps even some unexpected personalities- ie) anyone more independent
politically or even a bit conservative. The idea is if "we are the 99%,"
then there must be at least some people who are more conservative.
To learn more about Newsmotion, go to:
http://www.niemanlab.org/2011/07/newsmotion-wants-to-bring-artistry-and-the-wealth-of-networks-to-the-coverage-of-international-news/
Newsmotion also has contributed to PBSNewhour's website and so there is a
chance that the profile I produce could go there too.
Thanks so much!
