How did we get from furniture to manifestos?
FEMINIST BENCHES: The Bench Manifesto
1) Personality. Kind of cold, until you sit with it for a while and it
warms up to you.
2) Physical. Benches are wooden, metal, big, long, low, cold, covered,
uncovered, sometimes dirty. Benches don't move very easily. Benches are not
always pretty.
3) Orientation. Placing two Benches opposite each other is not recommended
as it can make strangers uncomfortable when forced to face each other.
By definition, Benches are marginal things in society.
