Here is the fix for the RN-42:

You can also use the BluetoothChat example in the Android SDK to connect to
the module. Just change the UUID like this:
private static final UUID MY_UUID =
UUID.fromString(“00001101-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB”);
