I get on with you pretty well Maestro, and I've *never* heard you say
stuff like that in real life -- really hurtful stuff that seemed to be
aimed at other people who work and contribute to the space. It may be
you didn't realise how hurtful it was, which is okay, but surprising.

If you had said something like that to me at Noisebridge, I would hope
I would have stopped the conversation, frowned a lot, looked down, and
said "actually, I wish you wouldn't say things like that". I'm pretty
sure you wouldn't go after me with an ax if I'd said that, because you
seem like someone who cares about other people.

I know people think that writing to noisebridge-discuss means that the
rules around being excellent are somehow diminished, but we have a
nice atmosphere in Noisebridge, and I think it's time we transferred
that back to other virtual spaces that have the noisebridge name on
them. It's not even a question of just not saying stuff here that you
wouldn't say out loud in the space -- writing stuff here is seen by
even more people, is permanently available for others to see, and ends
up getting pasted everywhere.

Anyway, I know this sounds like people piling onto you, so I'll stop.
It's more that I'm pleased people are standing up and calling out this
sort of stuff, rather than just going "ohhhh, that's just $X, they're
a troll" when clearly you're not.
