We could require new applicants particpate in monthly cleanup day and 
serve time as Docents, before they can become members. That's one way to 
produce free helpers, and simultaneously orient new people on how the 
place works, and give them a sense of ownership. The incentive is pizza 
and beer. After spending 4 hours on a saturday organizing cables and 
e-waste, i think somebody's going to be a lot more likely to respect the 
place.
