(1) Would you have everything be completely locked up in lockers?
Everything?  Think about that.  Some things, like laser cutters and
Dub Racks, can't really be locked up.  They CAN, however, be messed
with -- and probably opportunistically rather than as a concerted
effort.

My comment -- and another you took issue with -- was meant to inspire
thinking about how "nice things" could be protected in one way by
having the people installing them thinking of how to increase the
difficulty of ability to mess with those "nice things".

One of those solutions is a lock.  But I, personally, will not be
surprised or upset if someone picks that lock.  This is what I mean by
"increasing friction" rather than "preventing theft".

(2) Do you believe it is actually *possible* to achieve a state of
total non-theft?  I don't. That's why I made that statement -- it was
one of encouragement to have a certain perspective of success, in the
face of potential despair that nothing will work.

(3) Have you stopped beating your wife yet, Jonny?
