[Noisebridge-discuss] I want to teach a Hardware Hacking & Repair class

Hey folks,
I'm excited about the NB reboot and I want to contribute by teaching a class.  Many people have asked me over the years to do this and I want to make it happen.

My idea so far is an open-ended hardware hacking / repair class teaching the basics of repairing things like:

- flat screen TVs/ monitors
- headphones/ headphone cables
- ATX power supply/ general power supply repair

- battery care (and reviving "dead" li-ion packs"
- basics of laptop repair

I'm thinking the class should be more of an intermediate level with soldering know-how required.  It would be nice if people are familiar with the basic parts like resistors, capacitors, etc.

I will also keep it open for suggestions so people can pick my brain as to things I've repaired over my 10+ years doing this stuff.

I will bring some monitors to hack

I think an ideal day and time would be Tuesday evening, 6:30pm.  That slot looks open so far on the wiki.

Are we allowed to ask for a small donation for our class?  I was thinking $5 donation but no one turned away.

Best,
Zach
