FYI:
I just joined the mailing list to see what was up after a number of 
former members/hangarounds warned me about how so much energy is wasted 
on these debates and squatters.

What's sad is that a few years these same people tried to get me to join 
nb, at this point they're warning me off.

My anecdotal data, sample size is 5 people I've talked to who all have 
said the same thing: stay away, the good work people do is drowned out 
by drama + creepy squatters.

No offense intended to anyone here, they were very complimentary of the 
people doing tech, just really disillusioned with drama+squatters making 
the space annoying/unsafe.
