I think typically they are mounted on threaded rod stubs that protrude from
the ceiling. I have never really studied our ceiling, is it concrete, wood
framing, other? it is annoying to install threaded concrete anchors into a
ceiling but doable. Perhaps there is some wood framing or something up
there to make things easier. I know WAYS to install stuff to ceilings, what
I don't know is if there is any code requirement for how it is done.
Unfortunately I'll be camping on the 26th but if we coordinate & it seems
appropriate I could do some preparatory work ahead of time.
